When John and I started Studio C Artists – our goal was to serve the creative community (actors, directors, writers, set designers, musicians, etc.) in Los Angeles – by providing a safe and friendly training ground and a venue for artists to showcase their work. But as we’ve grown, it’s also come to our attention that there are people in this community that don’t have access to the same kind of training and creative environment, solely because of a lack of means and other similar life circumstances.
That is why we recently formed One World Stage & Screen (OWSS) a 501c3 charity to serve at-risk individuals (such as children & teens who live at or below the poverty line, adults in the prison system, runaway and homeless youth, etc.) by providing training and redirecting their lives through the performing arts.
We are currently collecting donations to launch our programs and structure our organization. And we are holding our Inaugural Fundraiser this Sunday, December 7th from 3-6PM. All are welcome to join – for more information go to http://owss.net/2014fundraiser. Tickets are FREE.
And if you cannot make the event this weekend, you can still donate online to our cause. All donations are tax deductible – and you can make your contribution online at our website, either on the event page or on our Donation Page. Plus today is #GivingTuesday – a great day to donate to a very worth new charity. Thank you in advance – we can’t tell you how much we appreciate it!!
